Danielle Gibson is a writer, director who is currently pursuing her Masters in Film Directing at Chapman University.
Danielle received her undergraduate degree in Electronic Media in film from Towson University where she also minored in Creative Writing. Her predisposition to impose hints of humor within the notes of this website reflects her delight for the creative flare, and for this reason, believes in an investment well spent!
In her earlier years, she received a Fine Arts Diploma in vocal performance from Bishop McNamara High School. She still hasn’t learned to stop mentioning her high school accomplishments as an adult.
Above all Danielle is a proud filmmaker and storyteller with a growing intent to push cinema forward, and create space for women and minorities like her within the industry.
Previously, she has interned for the Woman and Minority in Media Fest, The Maryland Film Festival, and the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees where she shadowed brilliant media makers who inspired her to be who she is today. She dares not make jokes in this section in fear her mentors might think she’s being sarcastic. She’s serious. Really. Very serious. Very. She promises. (I promise).
Her work has screened at a variety of festivals, including the Made in Baltimore Film Fest, Feminist Border Art Film Fest, and somehow Festival de Cannes in the Creative Minds Group Marketing block.
