This is an introductory video essay about Danielle Gibson that she animated using an Epson 340 scanner. This was a requirement for entrance into Chapman University’s Dodge College which resulted in an acceptance on her first application.
Danielle’s aspiration is to direct movies and create space for women and minorities like her within the industry. Previously she has interned for organizations that seek to do the same, such as the Woman and Minorities in Media Festival (WAMMFest), The Maryland Film Festival, the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees (AFSCME) and The Female Gaze Film Festival. continued …
